sort of. I find myself addicted to reading the stuff here... I wish the software was better. I wish you automatically had replies to your posts when someone replies instead of having to subscribe to the thread. Would also be nice to be able to see all newest posts on one page instead of having to dig thru the forums......

Yeah, the RIU interface sux. It's a piece of ready made software for discussion forums, so you get what you get.
As a grower I am somewhere between advanced beginner and retarded intermediate. I feel most comfortable answering Newbie questions. Also, I find the newbie threads more useful because they make mistakes that I can understand and learn from. With the advanced growers, I don't know what problems they avoided since they don't come up.
Most of all it's very satisfying to feel useful.

I prefer the new posts section and read about astronomy or physics and listening to music but pretty much yeah, All the time. In fact thats how i came upon this thread.

Uh, I have other things to do. I mean, I try to field newbie questions as much as possible, but there is something to be said for the new folks trying to find the information on their own.
After all, Google is pretty f--ing amazing when it comes to finding what you need. I've learned more from that than any other forum.
But some new ones are going to need more hand holding than others.

Google is great - I agree.. you can find the answer to any question out there.. but sometimes it's still important to have your question answered directly... I know, I ask questions that I know the answer to sometimes just to re-assure myself I know what I'm talking about.
I also like to help out where I can.. or have a snide comment to make
sarcasm may be the lowest form of humor, but I still laugh at dick and fart jokes too.
A guy walks up to this hot girl at the bar and decides to try and break the ice ..
he says "I was going to tell you a joke about my penis, but it's too long"
she smiles and replies, "I would tell you a joke about my pussy, but you'll never get it".
