Does anyone have any experience with the strain "Ice"?

I posted a question earlier on whether i should use the HPS during veg to get some more height out of my girl. After reading about this strain, I have read a few things that suggest shorter plants. My question is this then. My girl is just 9" tall and 12" wide and super healthy looking... and a bit stinky. Her root system is pretty impressive. She's in a dwc hydro set up. The meat of the question is; how big should I let her get before i switch her to 12/12's and hps? I'm already about to move her into a 5g bucket from a 3g one. Her roots are filling the 3g.

What is the lineage for this ice strain? Only ice I know of comes in the form of meth.
