Does dwc water temp affect VPD ?

Hi guys I’ve got myself a new control system called growtronix . It’s a computer based controller with sensors, it has a vpd monitor on it but when my water temperature drops down the VPD drops too I always thought that vpd was a mix of room temp humidity and canopy temperature.

Does anyone know if the water temperature can affect it too it’s a rdwc system I’m using .

I’ve emailed the company I got it from asking but no responce as of yet so I thought I’d ask on here ?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

How much of a difference in water temp are you talking about? And not only that, how MUCH water are you talking about?

Why does the water temp drop?
Is it because the room temp drops as well?
I think it's like a dwc or rdwc and he means when the plants drink a bunch ofvthe water and there's only like 20gal left if the normally full, 80gal system.

Never seen anyone take water temps into account for VPD.
Most of us running rdwc use a chiller and keep it pretty constant though.

Hi guys sorry I’ve not been back on since I posted this the manufacturer got back to me and sorted it with a easy fix . Thanks for all your responses anyways !

Yeah was simple the vpd was taking the temperature reading from the water temp instead of temperature gauge. I should of checked but just automatically thought that the vpd would use just humidity and temperature . Makes sense now though as it was changing a lot when water temp dropped . All good to be fixed now just meant my vpd was quite out all through veg and first 3 weeks of flower . The girls seem to be moving faster and growing denser now which is good .
