Does it affect the the plant when you leave the stem of the leaf. I ask because I use snips as for plucking. I use them to really get in their.
I trim at the leaf when defoliating. Come back and just flick the little dried stems off at the main stem with no bud or plant stress. The stem of the leaf will fall off if the leaf is cut. So to answer you, no its not an issue of concern.
Beyond the minimal sap bled being insect bait, I see no cause of bud rot being induced.I've heard cutting them down into the bud could cause bud rot, so I usually leave a decent stump and remove them after they dry. I don't know if the bud rot theory is true or not, but I don't like to tempt disaster.
Cause I'm a butcher and I grow monsters. And how many 10 footers can you hand trim before your hands are mittens? LOL. Big world out here.I don't know why you would molest the bud with scissors while its flowering? Fan leaves at nodes yeah get rid of them, big leaf in colas....only at harvest and they only come off by hand, no wet trimming with machines and its mostly the leaf not leaf and stem that comes off
I spap off downwards righ up to stem, never attracted any bugs to mine. Or had bad reactions, if using scissors i cut close.I don't know why you would molest the bud with scissors while its flowering? I endorse any method that works in your situation. I do stress tool hygiene though.I spap off downwards righ up to stem, never attracted any bugs to mine. Or had bad reactions, if using scissors i cut close.
Imma butcher too, twist stems and branches, break her all up, makes monsters outta them, np holing up colas.Cause I'm a butcher and I grow monsters. And how many 10 footers can you hand trim before your hands are mittens? LOL. Big world out here.

Evey year I big leaf 2 dep 2 harvests in 2 greenhouses. And 48 full term 8+ footers, they are taller than the 10' bamboo stakes in the 6x6x2 foot beds. With these I can start big leafing before harvest, before chopping with 2 other grass monkeys. And yeah its 2-3 weeks, 4-6 hours a day. And yes brutal on the hands, which is one reason why I go thru many many boxes of gloves at harvest. I have never liked finger hash anyways.Cause I'm a butcher and I grow monsters. I live downtown in a city, 12 to 15 ft plants are hard to hide. Good neighbours for mostpart.Evey year I big leaf 2 dep 2 harvests in 2 greenhouses. Glad to hear. Just a retort here. And a poor way of saying our way is not the way for many.Evey year I big leaf 2 dep 2 harvests in 2 greenhouses. 6x6x2 is a very nice bed size, they must be gorgeous, l use 50g smartpots but have 2 4x4x2 resivoirs as pots and they get big in those.Evey year I big leaf 2 dep 2 harvests in 2 greenhouses. A big not friendly to strangers dog in my greenhouse all night in fall.Love my hash, l usually get ripped off before they get close to done. Wish the thieves will let me get some mature outdoor this year.Glad to hear. Just a retort here. And a poor way of saying our way is not the way for many.
I'll stick to scissors at harvest. Easier to grab a clean set from the acetone jar than wash your hand every branch. And gloves just bother me. I grow past maturity for amber to make hash. Way sticky mess. LOL.
My dog is useless, pet for kids not guard dog by any means.I gift mine. And pfront with all. They watch my house for me. A big not friendly to strangers dog in my greenhouse all night in fall.
