So i always know people are givin rep and always willing to take some free rep but does it really matter...i post on her pretty frequently and help others in need yet i never get rep. But i never give rep also because i use the RIU app for android so i cant give rep...i just know people look at rep like its the persons level of intelligence... Ive been on many forums and barely had any rep yet im most likely more knowledgeable on the subject of said forum than people with higher rep....just speakin my mind on the weird rep system

Yes it does. It builds your power of epeen. You will need the power of epeen to defeat the level 36 red dragon.

Yeah, I think it does matter. Generally people only give you rep if you have demonstrated that you can give sound advice on a subject (or you can make people laugh). Its a better system than your post count as there are plenty of people that post all the time yet have no idea what they are talking about. Android or not, I don't give out tons of rep yet I have received plenty of it.

If you really are that knowledgable on something then take the time to write good responses that include your reasons for your advice.

legallyflying. I've given you rep just for your avi before though, not just context of posts.

I prefer building real world rep :). But it does feel cool when you get it in a junior high kinda way. OP,it seems like the kind of people that you feel should be able to value your opinion are also the kind of people that probably dont gauge the worth of ones posts by rep status anyways.

I like the like option better as it seems more often about good (or indeed funny) post contents rather than something that has been built up over time. Offering rep for answers/replies inside a thread's subject seems honestly a little silly to me but that might just be me not gettin' it.
