Does this look like a Male sack starting? Day 52 Flower

2 days ago I found one of these and carefully removed it. Today, 2 days later, there are 3 more. What do you think?

Strain is Dinafem Seeds Critical Cheese. Looks pretty close to finishing but all trich's are still clear. There was one amber I found two days ago but I could not find any ambers today.

Definitely looks like a nanner to me.
I just cut a plant of this down 2 weeks ago along with some other party cups I had started and man was she raunchy smelling couldnt wait to get her in a jar. Wasnt the yield I was expecting but its some fire no less, your plant looks pretty dank too.

What do you suggest? Keep picking them out or just harvest? I cannot risk pollen in my room at this point. This is the only plant of this strain in the grow.

How many days did you harvest at?

I suggest harvest AND picking them out. If It were the only plant, or one of just a couple of plants I'd say you could consider picking the nanners off (I've done it for 3-4 weeks last run with one, pita checking the buds daily), but since you "cannot risk pollen" in your room at this point.

It looks like it could have used a little longer but still, looks like it will be a good smoke regardless.

Well damn. The plant is small. I inspected the lower buds (there arent many) and no signs. There are only 3. Based on what you can see in the picture, how long would it take that thing to generate viable pollen? I would prefer to check the thing 3 times a day and pull them as I see them vs harvesting it early but if the risk of pollination is there then I guess I gotta kill it.

Ah see it is hard for me to say exactly how many days because I did it 12/12 fs in a party cup for the competition, she was pretty close to done tho and my best guess woild be around 50 days since pistils. I think you would be ok to harvest now, or you can babysit her and hope she stops chucking boy parts. I always opt for the harvest no matter how early tho because I would rather have immature unseeded bud than a seeded crop
Eta: it would be probably 2-3 days before she is looking to shed pollen but the thing is if you can see 1 there are prob 3 hidden elsewhere that are ninja sacs and hard to see...

Ugh that sucks when you get them that late.

My question is, do you have a perpetual rotation? Or are all the plants at about the same timeframe?

If all the plants are within one to two weeks... I would keep picking them off and let them finish, but that is me.

I completely understand the sentiment, but I am of the opposite team.

I would rather have mature buds with fully formed trichomes and a couple of seeds in my 3 ounces of weed...

Hard to tell with nanners, much easier with complete balls (5 nanners that open within hours after the ball opened up into an umbrella). They get a little yellowish instead of green when the pollen is mature. As you can see, yours is yellow already. It's pasty before it gets powdery so removing them early gives little risk of actually spreading viable pollen in the air.

The problem is there maybe nanners you don't see until it's too late, or mature within the bud and might just pop when you pull or trim the plant. I would also factor in the amount of bud sites. A couple of colas are obviously easier to inspect than a monster crop with lots of small buds.

A possible alternative would be to put it in another room behind the window if it's just a matter of wanting the trichs to develop further. The more I look at the pic, the more it looks done though. You don't actually have to wait for amber (or even cloudy...) and looks like they finished swelling up. So I wouldn't take any risk and better be safe than sorry. It really does only take 1 nanner's pollen and some air circulation to get some seed in all buds.

Can understand that, for me it comes down to the fact that I live in a non med state and my immature buds still taste better than some of the stuff in my area and are more potent lol.
Also I use a grinder and HATE the taste of bean shells, immature or not shit makes me wanna puke when I spark a shell lol

They are all the same age...52 days in flower. This is not a perpetual, kind of a 1 time thing (for now).
After inspecting the entire thing with a bright ass led light, I found 3. I suppose the risk is with the ones that I can't see?

I would not be upset with a few seeds either...this is the only plant of this strain that I have and finishing early is as bad as if I had simply killed it a month ago.

Alright...I trust all of your opinions but I'm going to go with your advice. I will chop her down. The breeder reports this strain is 55 to 60 days so I'm hopeful the early harvest will still yield quality that will be worthy of reviewing.

Sometimes we must sacrifice one for the survival of many...

I still stand in the -let her finish- crowd though.:blsmoke:

Come on guys...you're killing me! I'm already an indecisive person! lol

I took a dozen pictures hoping I would capture the nanner. I'm going to post a bunch in my journal now. Feel free to say harvest or not!
