Dog Supercropped my Autoflower

Hey guys, so I woke up this morning and realized my big@ss dog decided I wasn't growing properly and he didn't do his research on supercropping autoflowers. He decided to do it for me, breaking the main cola over (and many other branches) when I'm a few weeks away from harvest :---/

Anyways, just wondering what you guys do to deter your animals from messing with the plants. He's only recently showed an interest in them, I'm assuming b/c of the smell. I read a deterrent for animals is to spray the plants with things that stink to them--like vinegar--but I know your not supposed to spray anything on flowering plants for the most part..Anybody else have this problem and any ideas besides chaining him up to stop him from bothering the plants..

or you could spray your dog with something he doesnt like when he goes near the plants, or block access.

My dog is for protecting the yard so the dog chain is definitely a no go. I need the weed so can't just do away with that either. I'll eventually figure something out b/c there is a way that will work..just have to ponder on it for awhile I guess

My Chihuahua ate a quarter of an edible one night. He was catatonic for 24 hours. He wont go near the grow room now. He must smell that taste. Try a fence sir. A small tomato fence/ picket fence

LoL, mine doesn't eat it he just likes to rub on them. He's 145lbs so that poses the problem. He picked it up off a 3ft table with his mouth and placed it on the ground 6ft away to rub on it and smell it. I'd have to literally build a regular fence to keep him out. But now that you said that, maybe I could buy a small pen and keep them in if it comes down to me not being able to deter him. He's done the same thing to many of my pepper plants I have too

No pets near the grow room period! Unless you like smoking buds with dog hairs.

Dogs do not like chili powder , ginger powder, fine ground black pepper, powdered cinnamon or clove powder. Use one or mix them all together and dust around the bottom of your plants where no buds are and around the ground. He wont like it.....

Yes I actually was thinking about trying some red pepper around the plants but figured the wind would blow most of it away..Worth a shot though, much appreciated

Look online at diy chicken wire fences. Cheap and easy

Use the finer grind spices and scratch them in the very top most part of the soil,use quite a bit then top dress with a little more. You could also slightly dampen the bottom 1/4 of the plant then dust it with the powders. It will mostly stick around fir a bit after the dampness dries.His nose being super sensetive will be what makes him avoid your plants.

Cayenne powder to be more specific, dig tiny circle trench around the plants and pour it in real good then cover it and pour more on the ground itself. He may do it again once but once he gets a good whiff he will always hate that part of your garden xD
