This is a friendly reminder to check your local dollar store for cheap lights.
So I found these 33w CFLs at 2,090 Lumens each with a color temp at 6400k. Those are weird specs, usually it's a 42w with 2600 Lums at 6500k from Fient Electric or GE. The 33w comes from a brand I've never heard of but hey, they cost $2.19 each so even if they're a bit ambitious with those lumen units you can't beat paying $2.19 for a decent veg light! Plants can't get enough lights so hell might as well. Made a bad-ass set-up with 6 of those suckers; three two-way splitters (two lights on each splitter) and a socket adapter for each.
This bad-boy puts out 12,540 Lumens for $20. Given I can stick those guys about 2" away from the plants that's about 47,000 lux. Holy crap! Uses almost 200w but hell, that's not too bad given I pay about $0.08 kW/hr.
So yeah, check your local dollar store to see what you can find in the way of hardware to add any upgrades or additional lights to your setup. You really can't get enough light!
