Anyways, i cut one plant 2 days before the other so im just putting them in the jars now (i cut them exactly a week ago) so i think they are dry enough(the buds are almost breakable and crispy on the outside) but they have a wierd funky ass smell to them, some of them it came earlier and fading now it seems, is this normal? it kinda smells like chlorophyll or some shit, i dont knowlike a wierd musty dankness, not fruity weed you know? anyways i was wondering?
1)Did i put them into curing to early? is this smell a sign of a need to still dry?
2) If not, will it go away with curing?, is this the smell and taste everyone says you get without curing? cause it DOES NOT smell like weed really, and it blows ass. My friend had this same problem with the exact same conditions and strain but i knew he didnt dry enough because of how damp the buds were after a week of curing, should i hang em up again or just cure away? thanks in advance too btw:weed::weed::weed:

I'd have to say this "musty dankness" will likely go away after a few weeks of jar time. Its pretty common for bud to not smell like bud and taste like a fresh cut lawn until you cure it up, if you have the patience, cure them for a couple of months, you'll really notice the difference in smell and flavour, also it will burn more evenly. I find that burping a jar for 15 minutes a day (a common recomendation) is not enough, i'll leave mine open for hours and sometimes overnight (I only usually hang my buds for 4-5 days so this is the reason for the moisture), you have to get a feel for how much moisture you want in the jar. Too much and you'll be dealing with useless moldy ganja, too little and it will dry out before all the chlorophyll has a chance to get out leaving you in the same position as before.

aite boys, thats what i figured, damn i cant wait to hoot some fat packed bowls of this ganj, and i have like 60 seeds now, and have gone thru ALL buds, damn i love hermination at end, weed is actually a godsend from above

I know this threads a little old but i just want to say that if you trim your leaf off wet you wont get that nasty smell and chloryphil flavor, you can cleary see in the pics above where he says its been drying one week and the buds are covered with leaf. anyway point is its better the trim wet than dry so you dont get this chloryphil taste/smell
