Done with Advanced LED

I bought an XTE 100 that came with 6 white LED's and 2 blues, but that light only lasted a month before a driver failed and had to be sent back. When I got it a month later, it had been cosmetically damaged during repair, so that light was sent back for a replacement light. I got the replacement back in November, but didn't look at the LED configuration closely because I thought certainly it was the same as the light I originally purchased. It sits in the box for 2 months while I break down my garden and move to a new apartment.

2 months later, I unbox it and hang everything up. As soon as I turned the XTE on I noticed how painfully bright the blue was, and I didn't remember it being that way. I looked under the light to see that I no longer had the 6-white 2-blue configuration, but a 6-blue 2-white instead. I emailed Kyle over the weekend because I thought that there was a mistake during assembly, but his response was:

"We have changed the spectrum slightly and we do not have the other spectrum anymore. Rest assured you will not see any difference maybe a 1% difference but this will not effect your grow."

I responded and said that the reason I originally purchased this light was because of its substantial amount of white light. I asked if I could send the light back for a refund due to my circumstaces, but he replied:

"No I am sorry that is not an option. Again the ratio that was provided and is of our own design, I assure you that there is nothing that will change your grow whatsoever. It was a slight change and side by side you would see the same results."

So I told him that what he did to me was underhanded and that I will be making all of my future purchases from Area 51.

What white k did they use? anything over 7000k will be mostly blue anyways dude. I wouldn't worry about it like he said . its not a big deal. but yes they should of sent you the same light, but they probably change there set up again, probably following busy bee leds colors again lol . I didnt really understand why they were using a high k white anyways the 10w cree are a waste anyways not efficient whats so ever maybe 40% efficient its just a gimmick..everyone thinks bigger is better not so. in fact 1w single chip leds are the most efficient and will always be the most efficient. . a mix of a couple 3000k and 6500ki is best. Grow on brother.

You know what, you are not alone. I sent back a light because it had one row go out and so they sent me the power supplys to fix it myself. I had no fuckin clue how to do it so I had my friend from school come over as he is a genius and he couldn't fix it. So I sent it back and then I get back a light that has the switches reconfigured.

Now I use it at full power only which is a pain in the ass for when I am trying to veg in more blue spectrum. The lights are growing buds for me so I am not complaining about that but they do got some shady shit going on behind the scenes.
