Done with indoors...now to outdoors

So i finally grew indoors using a hydroponics kit. Bud came out extremely niice for my first time growing i think. I figured why not plant outside and forget about lighting and timers??

So here i am trying to get some answers. I have a pretty good spot. The soil seems pretty good also. Its dark and moist and hardly any rocks. Can i just plant seeds in ground or get a pot?

If i need a pot, any suggestions? also what else do i need?

Nice man, I am currently doing both and the outdoor in my opinion requires less upkeep.

I'm not a pro but I think with soil in pots you want to get large ones. Larger pots equals larger plants. I just water them every other day and fert with recycled hydroponic water with res changes. Pruning and tying down will help increase your yield too.

I've never planted in-ground before but from what I've seen those plants can become monsters. I would remove a section of dirt from your area and replace it with a high quality soil, that would definately help your plants out.

I think the only drawback from outdoors is the plants are subject to the environment. It's not too much of a worry for me since I live in southern california, but for you living in NY i'm sure the frost will come at some point. Also pests are out there and they are hungry, keep an eye out for them.
