DonScroggins 250w OG Kush Bag Seed Journey✌

Ok so I picked up an eighth of some super dank from Long Beach, and as I was loading the first pinch rip for the driver I saw something white in the bowl. I thought it was probably just a stem so I tried to scrape it out with my finger, but when it rolled out of the bowl and on to my hand I realized it was a seed! So I was/am super excited, because even if its not OG Kush(which is what the guy said the strain of the bud was when I text him after I found this little guy), it came from a bag of a lot danker bud than I expect to see from my current grow of pretty cheap Jack Herer seeds (not to knock the girls, they're a blessing). So with all that being said, lets get started.

I soaked the seed for about 24 hours or so starting last night. Tonight I put it in a red solo cup of Fox Farms Light Warrior. Poked my holes for drainage, pre watered my soil, pushed the seed down, covered it with soil, and got some clear plastic wrap over the top to work as a humidity dome.

The tap root hadn't popped out of the seed in the 24 hour soak, so idk what that means, but the conditions seem reasonable for a good shot at germination. Good vibes

I have the OG in to germinate with the Herer mom in the mother box under about 100w of cfl.

this plant looks very heathy looks like you put a lot of effort in it. are you sure you want to go forward with this seed tho?

Just think about it - the plant you got the seed from is probably hermie (healthy, unpollinated females don't produce seeds). This basically means it is very likely your plant will turn out hermie too => undergrade weed.

It looks you love your plants & prepared a nice place for them. Wouldn't it make sense to pull extra 20-30$ and buy a stable strain from decent breeder?

Don't get me wrong man - after months of labour with this plant, eventually you will want to see results. This plant may disappoint you.

Man...maybe I did get a little excited. Are the odds better that it is hermie than it was pollinated?? The bud it came from is so dank is why I was excited. Great post though man, thank you.
