dormant seedlings

has anyone ever had a seed go dormant ,i just came across the problem i think , i bought 10 regular bubblious seeds and i put 5 in paper towel for 48 hours and all popped .i put the seeds in happy frog solo cup 6 days ago .had one come up and is about 1 in long ,about 2 days ago.woke up this morning and nothing out of the other 4 ,i decided to pour out 1 to see whats up , the seed with a 1/2 in root was in there but it was dormant ,thought it was dead ,it wasn't but it was like it was dormant .have you ever had this happen ,my room stay's about 75 lights on .

Leave them alone before you kill them all. Be patient, anything could have affected the sprouting time. Soil temp, how deep you planted them, how wet the soil is. Sometimes they take a week or more to come through the soil.

All you can do is wait but if they already cracked before you put them in...that is a bad sign. Seeds can be dormant, but once the crack and germinate, there is no dormancy.

You should not have done that. In cool temps the seeds can take up to 2 weeks to germinate. Also you should have placed them in the medium from the start instead of double handling them and disturbing the tap root.
