6 Chemdawg [#4 cut] seeds arrived today in the mail from Dr Greenthumb. :weed:

Dr Greenthumb's site says to expect tastes of diesel and spice.. a very happy, social smoke. That is just my kinda of herb. :bigjoint:. I told him I have grown the G13 and Bubba OG.. so he suggested the Chemdawg for my next pack to plant.. I think it was a good choice.

I dropped all 6 of them in water this pm.. I will let them soak for maybe 18 hrs or so before tossing them in a small pot of coco.

This should be good.. It's been a little while since I've filled my flowering tents and even longer since I have done a journal.. so please, go easy on me, play nice (yes, i mean you) and feel free to post. This won't be one of those journals that sputter off and die 2 wks into flower..
So, stay tuned.

I'm growing a Chem#4 x OG Kush right now from HSO. Lovely flavour in the realm you describe, I'm sure you'll enjoy the end result.

I'm subbed up. Very interested in watching more Greenthumb gear. Dr.Gruber may have a thread up on this particular strain already, guy grows a lot of Dr.'s gear.

totally. Dr Gruber journals are what got me started on Dr GT seeds. I love watching his grows.
sweet. I'll update wkly when there is action bi wkly during the slow times..

3 seeds had tails already after just 10 hrs.. that is amazing..

The next pic was about 16 hrs after dropping into the water.. All 6 germinated..

I planted the seeds in little 3 in pots with straight H&G coco.. I'll get pics up when they sprout.. shouldn't be long.. these things are cruising right along..

I grew this last summer.
I liked it a lot. But after the cure, for me it wasn't a social high. It made me eat till it hurt, then put me to bed. Loved it though. One plant smelled kind of like stovetop stuffing.
 
hey hank, did you get express shipping? are you in the states?i'm ready to place another order but hate paying extra if i don't need to. imma grab another pack of ecsd and a chem 4. i'll be watching this!
 
This strain deff brings on my munchies lol.... I gained 3 lbs smoking this... I have to mix in tw so the munchies dont take over...

It is a pic I will always have, and treasure.. Freak is what it is..

I've never seen anything like it.. So, the fact that it came from my room is fucking rad..
 
I'm just waiting for these little seedlings to take root.. I grow in straight coco.. my seeds start off pretty slow.

I sent 2 seedlings out to a friends place.. she is going to harden them off to the outdoors and run them outside. I can't wait..

I have 3 seedlings here to do indoors.. I wanted to get down to 3 as I have a grow tent with 3 600w hps.. Each plant can get it's own light that way.. Hell yeah..

I too second that. My last grow and one I'm on now is a one plant hydro grow so but I've been bean hoarding these last few months and I been trying to figure out if I wanna do soil or a coco grow for these regular beans cus I'm usually a fem man but lots of the strains I want aren't fems

I'll probably grow these 3 in my 6x4 tent with 2 600hps.. it is a simple tent with a couple circ fans, daystar reflectors and plenty of cold intake air coming right off of an AC.
I do not use glass/air cooled reflectors.. I used to, but I'm trying to avoid it these days..
My thinking... glass just takes away some of my light intensity.. if I need glass, then why not just move down to a 400w w/o glass? So, I increased the air intake and manage to keep the temps below 83 during lights on.. good enough for me.

I grow in straight coco.. House and Garden Coco Coir.. the 50 L bags.
I do a Drain to Waste style.. I use the waste water on outdoor container plants (non mj) and raised beds.. water is a precious resource, I don't waste it..

I use a mix of the following bottles..
Dyna Grow GROW 7-9-5
Dyna Grow Foliage Pro 9-3-6
Dyna Grow Bloom 3-12-6
Dyna Grow Pro Tekt 0-0-3
Cal Mag+ 2-0-0

Most of the time though, I just feed the 9-3-6, ph'd to 5.8. The Bloom bottle was just something I added recently to experiment with and I doubt I will be replacing it..
I have grown several crops from cutting to smoke with nothing but 9-3-6 and Cal Mag+. I don't use "boosters" or "additives". IMO, they are just products to part you with your money. Although, I do use a little silica at times as I believe it does help with plant stress and in my room, stress is expected.. :lol:
My schedule looks about like this.

Sun - Plain water with plenty of runoff
Mon - Dyna Grow + Pro Tekt, Cal Mag+ at 5.8.. about 3ml/gal of each.
Thur- Dyna Grow, Cal Mag+ at 5.8.. about 3ml/gal of each
Repeat...

If the plants are all green'd up I lay off the feed/use more bloom food.
If the plants are lighter green/yellow I use the 9-3-6/increase feed

I veg under t8 floro in 2/3 gal pots.. then move to 3 gal grow bags to flower.. usually I only veg for about 10 days in the 3gal bags then go to 12/12.

I've got a ton of seeds going right now.. I wanna give these plants as much room as possible, we'll see when the time comes.
I'll make sure to do 'em justice.

Sometimes I just get too busy to stick to my watering schedule and I let em run an extra day.. only watering 2x per week.
I definitely see better results though with 3x per week. I bet they would do better with watering every other day. Just don't have the time. I don't grow for $ these days.. so, you know.. this is an "after work" kinda hobby for me..

I'm no pro grower.. I've got some experience, but honestly, I'm still pretty amateur.
If I had the time and money, I'de be a fucking Jedi of MJ growing.. :lol:

I LOVE genetics.. I only recently got into the Chem/Diesel family.. I'm quickly realizing that I have been missing out.. as Chem/Diesel is some of the best herb around. I'm expecting good things from this pack.

I suck at growing seeds though.. I grow almost always from clone, unless i am seeking out new moms.. So, forgive me for the slow growth early on.. I just can't seem to get a damn seed to grow as fast as everyone else.. I see you all send a seedling to flower 8 wks after popping it and it blows my mind.. I don't know how you do it. It takes me 12 wks just to get the damn thing sex'd usually.

Coco is great..
I grew in different peat mixes for a while before coco.. I tried coco once and never looked back..
I've heard people have trouble with coco drowning plants.. I have no idea how they are doing it, but, I know it happens.

I've never tried soil indoors.. I do a whole lot of soil outdoors though.. After I use the coco indoors I take it outdoors and use as a soil amendment..
I've got a nice little Cacti, Yucca and Agave collection. I bought a pallet of Soil Mender Soil Mix as my base.. then I mix various combinations and amounts of used Coco from indoors, perlite, sand, decomposed granite, shale and volcanite.

Cacti, Yucca and Agave love the coco in the mix.. I love reusing it.. win win.. it is too damn expensive to use just once.

Even some of the most dry loving cacti and yucca tree that usually love just rock, sand and glass mulch will grow in coco.. if it wasn't so expensive I'de use coco a lot more outdoors..
