Drip System - 3" Net Pots

Hi there -

Brand new grower here. I'm on my first grow using a tote drip system with six 3" plant containers/net pots. I only have plants in four of the six containers because I didn't want it to be too crowded.

One question: The 3" plant containers seem to be really small. Do I translant after some period of time (eg before flowering)? If so, what do I transplant into? Should I just get another lid to my tote and drill holes for bigger plant containers?

Thanks in advance for the help.

i think you cant grow them too tall or else they will tip over , unless u tie them or something cause the 3" net pots are small for anything really huge

got the same setup as you, trying to see how tall i can grow a plant on it too.. u got a picture of your setup with the plants>?

What is ur medium ? I use the 2" rockwool from clone and suround it with hydroton and as plant gets bigger i set it in in bigger net pot and surround iit with more hydroton.

Plants tip over in small pots. You should go from a 4" to a 9" square. Dont forget to put an 1 1/2" of hydroton under the 4" pot when u transfer. Water rings are good too.
