Hello everyone,
I am a new member to the forums here at rollitup.org and have been using these forums as a resource to help out in growing cannabis plants under a 400W HID light. I am hoping that the expertise of the growing community here can assist me with a plant diagnosis, and provide some direction as to what to do.
I seem to have been having a couple of problems with my plants as of late, and I believe there to be multiple factors effecting it:
The first thing that you will notice on the panned out photo is the back two plants exhibiting drooping. I believe this to be due to over watering, as my friend in charge of watering the plants oversaturated the soil over the past couple of days by mistake.
The next thing that you will notice on the other photos are some shiny white/silver spots on the leaves accompanied by the occasional grey patch as seen clearly in one photo. Another problem noticed was one of the leaves curling over and being partially split, almost as if being eaten away. After reading up on these symptoms, I believe that I have a case of thrips. I do have good airflow in the growroom, however it wasn't cleaned completely pre-grow and it is in a cool basement which may affect the affinity for insects to reproduce on the plants.
My proposed course of action is to cease watering for a couple of days, and spraying it with a product sold at the local Home Depot called Scotts EcoSense Insecticidal Soap, due to the scarcity of locally available Spinosad products where I live, and treating it with the insecticidal soap as necessary. Can you guys advise me on my diagnosis and course of action? This is my very first grow and I have no practical experience with treating problems such as these.
Thanks guys
