droopy plant need help

got two clones who vegged for 8 weeks now 8 weeks into flowering w/ one 120w cfl above each with 3 45w cfls on the sides of each. a humidifier keeps it at 45 and there is a great fan for circulation. i water a half hour before each lighting and both were doing fine then one day the taller one drooped at about bout 6 hours into lighting each day so i upped the water just one shot glass and it has stayed drooped since and the soil seems damp but not super wet about 3 inches deep and is dry above that. they are kept in 5 gallon plant buckets

one the one hand they look over watered...on the other hand the curling is a way they use to conserve water when they are stressed...the burned tips say the soil is hot or too much nutes in the water...

i have struggled establishing a good watering system you got any recommendations?

I always water "in the morning" (after light on), at least when I feed. Don't even remember why, it was something I read years ago.

Overwatering is not about the amount of water you give, but how often you water (the frequency). When you "finally" water then saturate them, then let them dry out (not bone dry, a little bit dryer than cake).
After a while, you'll water based on pot weight.

Small seedlings is a different thing, but that is common sense.

ive been watering based on the method til it dried out til it started stressing then when that started i was advised to water it a "shot" or two a day of water a half hour before light

Bro you have struggled with a lot more than that, they are stunted midgets for 16 weeks old with numerous issues.

overwatering is the biggest and most frequent problem a grower of mary j makes. They like arid conditions. Their roots like to search for water. The pot needs to be "air" light before watering. Watering in between watering with "shots" of water is overwatering which causes ph fluctuations and nutrient lockout. You have all of the symptoms of overwatering low ph and nutrient lockout. The only thing you can do is start watering properly. With that size plant in that size pot you should be watering about a half gallon every 3-4 days. The roots are probably brown because of root rot from all the over watering. Be patient and do things right and she might make a comeback. Good luck.
