Feeding at 4-500 ppm and adding Hydroguard and silica as the only additives both at 10ml per 4 gal.
roots are kinda brown but never had water temps over 72

I change the water every 5 days. I figured root rot and had been adding hydroguard regularly to try and help but hasn’t done much.

Does it smell? From my experience and only my experience they droop way down when root rot starts to take hold. What nutrients do you use? That looks like something else could be afoot. Are you putting silica in first and mixing it real good before adding other stuff? I have never used hydroguard thankfully I couldn't get none when I was ordering everything. I say thankfully because I found the southern ag garden friendly fungicide and that shit is awesome and costs waaaay less and only use 1ml every rez change. I've gone 2 weeks without changing water and it was still crystal clear and had no smell or anything.

Yeah wtf are those spots..

If the silica your using is Potassium silicate then stop adding it immediately, unless you're running monosylicic. Pot Sil is useless in hydro. It`s just going to jack your pH up and potentially cause potassium overabundance lockout in flower (if you make it that far).

Seems like allot of people using Hydroguard have root issues... Idk why everyone insists on paying for it versus going sterile for pennies in comparison. I'm a fan of sterile systems. I've heard lots of good things about Southern AG, but I'm north of the border and its not around these parts.

Find some 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite. I get a 5 gallon from Home Depot for $18 CAD. It will last me for the rest of my lifetime. Take 1.89 mL of that shit and mix into a 1 liter of water to make UC Roots. Seriously dude I`d make that shit, drain the system, add it in at a minimum 7ml per gallon and then re-add every 3 days if your bound an deterimined to save those plants. If you have cuts available I`d hit the reset button and disinfect that system then use the hypo from the get go.

If you have dog shit source water then I`d look at getting a UV scrubber so your eliminating all the bacteria prior to it entering the system.

Just run of the mill over fed plants. Maybe your meter is out of whack. Nobody ever checks the calibration. If they were under fed they would just yellow from the bottom up.
