I'm planning on giving my plants some c02 however I cant afford a tank and the rest of the stuff needed i heard of people using dry ice it being c02 in solid form so I'm curious the place I called has a 5lb minimum at $1.17/per pound I figure I'm not gonna use that much c02 for 3 plants but how often should they get it? everyday, weekly, biweekly? also if you have any tip on storing it please be detailed

everyday during the lights on cycle.Waste of money though IMHO unless you're overdriving your grow with above sunlight level lumens.

could you go in more detail on how it would be a waste?
the natural CO2 level is adequate for normal light levels enhancing the level will be of little benifit as the plants simply aren't utilizing it fast enough to absorb it before it escapes. it's very difficult to control CO2 release from dry ice.
