Dry leaves?

Hey growers! What does it mean when some leaves start to feel dry? They are older fan leaves, like dark green and feel kinda dry.. there's only a few main fan leaves left because I trimmed a lot off but the ones that are left are ugly and have kinda like a paper feel to them. I want to cut the rest off but I don't know if I should since most of them are gone. Should I cut em? And what is causing this? It almost seems normal since there old but im not sure.. thanks RIU!
forgot to mention they are all at the bottom if that matters.. maybe like 2 in the middle rest at bottom

ive been under the impression that fan leaves naturally start falling off starting at the bottom. im not sure if there is a problem if they fall of sooner but during flowering they should be yellowing as the plant is using up the stored energy. don't pull them off if you can help it
