Drying and curing advice for a newbie

I'll be harvesting my first grow in a couple of weeks, I hear theres so many apparently "right" and "wrong" ways to dry and cure. I'm not desperate for the bud ASAP, I do want it to smoke nice and taste nice, any pointers n this as this will be my first harvest?
