"Needed?" No. I smoke as soon as drying is done, and I dry all the way to 60%RH.
But I'd be lying if I didn't say my product improves in flavor with age in a sealed jar kept cool and dark. The high doesn't seem to change, though.

I'm confused at what you mean by is curing needed. Are you asking if you can smoke the weed without going through the curing process after drying? Absolutely you can. However, you still have high levels of chlorophyll in the matter that strongly affects taste and it's not evenly dried so it doesn't burn slowly or evenly. So it has no shelf life. It'll crumble into powder when it dries out and just be fish food Flake powder
