Drying in unavoidable heat

I am in week 8 of flowering and just can't go with my previous plan for drying due to security (smell).

My tent with carbon filter is upstairs and the temps are hard to keep down. It is still warm here. I have to use the tent for drying two plants, about 4 feet tall each. Best case for temps is 72-78. Maybe a bit lower at night with the lights off, of course. I can control the humidity and there are plenty of fans, but I know not to directly fan the buds during drying. The room is dark.

I know this is not ideal. It is what it is.

Questions:

1) To what extent will this harm my harvest? (My trichomes just went cloudy.)

2) Am I better off hanging the entire plant rather than trimming now, because of the heat? Leaving the leaves on?

3) Is there any point to keeping the humidity on the high side -- say 60 or above?

Any advice appreciated.

Would it be possible to put your bud right into a freezer and then pull it out and squeeze resin. This would go a long way to dealing with smell. Even the resin smells less than flowers. And I mean, how long does it take to throw your plants in the freezer. Just a thought.
