drying inside growtent with live plants?

im worried about the smell of my first harvest and am curious if i can hang the buds above the lights in my growtent to dry???
am worried about mold etc but think it should be ok...suggestions?

But you could put buds in a box and put the box in there if there is room. They don't have to be totally dark, just no direct light.
