Dugilux bulbs--do they explode?

I read a review on amazon for digilux bulbs, and the person wrote that his broke apart after six months, and he had heard that some have actually exploded on people.

Has anyone actually had that happen to them?

I was wondering what experiences people have had with the digilux bulbs. Do they go better with the phantom ballas?

damn. i wouldn't risk it if its getting bad reviews. google problems with those. i've heard of grease spots or fingerprints causing hot spots and making these bulbs burn out quicker.

Water splashed on a hot bulb will cause it to explode.
