DP Twilight Fem is straight up junk. It has more male flowers than female. Such a nice looking plant too. Anyone know if this is a prob with all their strains or just this one? I was really lookin foward to this one.:cuss:

I haven't read many good things about them. I did some reading on their blueberry and ended up not getting any gear from them, too many horror stories.

Strain/breeder: Dutch Passion Twilight (feminised)
Harvest time: Last week in Sept/ first week in October....Green pheno (end Oct/1st week November)
Latitude of grow: 53
Location: Nettle patches ideally
Average yield: 4-6oz, biggest 11oz (green pheno 1-2 oz)
Mold: <5% (green pheno much more due to much later harvest)
Potency: 6-7/10 (green pheno 4-5/10)
Year of grow: 2005 - 2010
Grow again: tough question (see footnote)

Footnote: Grew this strain for many years with some fantastic results. 2009 the green pheno started to appear, which is a much later, not as heavily producing or potent as the standard purple, really not worth the effort. 2010 the green pheno dominated this particular strain (prob about 90%). This was not good... If DP can return this strain to the bomb proof version of old, definitely worth a go. May try 10 again in 2011 because of previous results..

I think DP is the number 1 reason people say fems are hermie prone.

Just for the record DP is hermie prone.

yes for all those who said stay away from dutch passion they are definitly correct. i have given them many tries over the years only to be depressed many times. no more for me. if they gave me free seeds i would not waste the resources an dtime with them. choose locall if possible if not go for canadian.

ive done there euforia and skunk 11 and out of 6 plants one skunk hermed. the plants were nice though. good yields and nice smoke. im thinking that i may be just lucky judging by some of the stuff ive read lately though!
if your having problems with fem seeds then maybe try reg seeds and get yourself a good keeper!
good luck with your next grow. hope you get better results.

I wouldn't blame it all on fem seeds. I've grown lots of fems and never had a herm. 1 mutant LA con but no herms. Its cool though. I needed more space anyways. Querkle is filling out nicely. So, fuck you Twilight!

well at least youve got other stuff going, theres nothing worse than concentrating on one strain and having it go tits up!
nice you have a back up plan.

Yea some people are just lucky with fems, i haven't gotten many full blown herms off of fem seeds but i get the usual nanner instability on most, only few who haven't as most stable fems i've grown have been Dinafem, G13 labs.

Oh yeah, always have backups. I hate smoking the same two strains for 10 months.
Thats why i try to keep a male around for some f1's, always something new to try, or a twist on an old favorite :eyesmoke:
