Dwc auto newbie....

Hey guys,

New to this page and new to DWC with Autos so, I am looking for some advice if possible. I have just purchased Fastbuds Stardawg and before I do ahead and root them, want to cover off the following:

. * what temp should the res be roughly night/day?
* what temp should the tent be at day/night?
* what distance from theplant would you have the lamp?
* what are the basic nutes the plants need to survive?
* for example, on a auto, how many times would you do a res change based on 60/70 days?

I have grown in soil previously however, hydro is a whole new ball game to myself, seen and heard so many wonderful things about it yet, so many horror stories but I am not want to be deterred haha...

I know the basics of PH and Ppm so, any other relevant information would be greatly appreciated ...

PS, if you could keep it laymans terms would be superb haha stay blazed

I normally grow using my 8 bucket RDWC rig but this winter Ive decided to try a couple of Auto's downstairs in a closet grow, I just used a couple of 6" netlids in 3 gal buckets w/airstones. Running the same GH Flora trio that I run in my bigger rig and stuck one of my old 300W(real) blurple panel-the plants started off slowly but they are growing quite nicely now. I also use a root innoculant(hydroguard, southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide) and have had zero issues with bucket funk for the past 3 years-that's with roon temps sometimes being in the mid 80's. During the winter my temps stay around 70 with everything running-if you can keep water temps around this then you should be ok.

1. Anywhere between 66and 72f (ideally)

2.day 72-75 night 65-70 (depends on how you want the plant to grow)

3. Depends on the lamp

4. Just look up hydroponic nutrients and pick one. For beginners botanicare and gh are good starting points.(in my exp)

5. depends on all the other variables.
Exampl when the plant is young you could just monitor water level and ph for a while before seeing any indication of a deficiency.

But on the other hand in full bloom a decent sized plant will damn near empty that bucket everyday so be smart and make it easy to fill and drain .
