Well maybe you have :) But i created this after seeing an aeroflo unit going. I currently have 4 4x8 trays that i have adapted them to this new rdwc / nft kinda thing. Holds 18 plants under 1000 w lights magnum hoods. So stoked on it.

Basically in the picture the water is pumped up through the 1 inch pvc and then it breaks to half inch pvc that i built and installed on the bottom side of the "lid". From there i drill holes every 8 inches or so and that shoots out water putting plenty of oxygen in the water for the plants to thrive. No air stones!! so stoked. My one pump 1250 gph will run two trays with one res that will have a chiller. Basically two sets of this since i have 4 trays just copy it over. Let me know your thoughts, i'm here to answer any questions if you have any. This is my first go at hydro :) Been doing terrapots and soil last few grows so sick of the mess and not being able to flush easily.

Looks cool. I'd love to see some more detailed info on the construction, materials, etc. I've always shrugged off dwc but this one seems cool. If you can do some pics in bright light, it would be sweet.

i'll snap some tomorrow when the lights are on, then give a more in depth run down but it's super easy to do. Just ordered a dissolved oxygen meter to make sure the levels are where they need to be. I think between this setup, my c02 gas burner and my bio wave (google it) i'm going to kill it this round.

that should bloom as good sized clones. no more than 10 inches I would say. Unless you will be chopping all side branching & going for a single cola..wont know how the plants will grow till we see em :D

That's basically a covered root system ebb and flow setup. It drains completely into the reservoir right? That is the way I set up my tables too, you will love the results!

I like the modified RDWC settup. The chiller will be a must. Having run a variety of hydro systems over the years I'm all too aware of what can happen in DWC warm water.

What are you using for atmosphere cooling?

Could you give us a report of how the dissolved O2 meter worked out for you?

I fully agree with RawBudsky that small plants are a must. I think if you grow em too big you'll just have a big ol mess. Your call. That's the downside of a system like yours...the inability to move plants around. Once you totally dial in the proper size for your strain and spacing, it can do quite well. It's until then that can be frustrating. Canopy shape/size is just SOOOOO important for big yields. Could you give us an idea of yield/tray?

What are you using for atmosphere cooling? for cooling i have a 34000 btu split airconditioning the thing is a beast. Also have 3 dehumidifers going

Could you give us a report of how the dissolved O2 meter worked out for you? i will for sure once it comes in.

I'll be glad to update everyone when the crop is done. I'll probably start a journal. But for an idea i have been getting between 1.5 and 1.75 lbs per light in soil. So i'm hoping for more with this setup but we'll just have to wait and see. I can't do many small plants because it would just put me way over my limit of 99 so i'm going to try 72 18 per tray which i have been doing since i started growing.

no not really. The table will always have say 3 inchs or 4 of water in the table for the roots to live in. The pump in the 80 gallon rez below the table is always pumping water to spray the water into the table to give the plants the O2 they need. I also have 2 overflow spouts that keep the volume of water that i want in each table.
