hi growers. so in dwc how far down do yous let your water lever go down before topping it up
if water level is 2/5 inches down should i be filling it back up with water and adjusting ph
i have been topping up every 3 days and losing around 2/5 inches depending on the plant changing rez every 2 weeks
so im wondering am i topping up too often. is it find to allow the water level to drop past 5 inches

Make sure your roots are alwase all at least a little bit wet. At all times.

Alot of people let their res get down to one gal ish .... Befor adding more. As log as you ph stays between 5.5 and 6.5

i though it be fine do let levels drop but would that make the plant grow any slower if im not topping up so often.
im swapping to dwc for the increased growth rates over coca but i am lazy as fuk so would prefer not to babysit my plants so much but if its going to slow growth ill babysit

If your lazy and don’t want to babysit plants hydro isn’t the style of growing you want honestly.

haha well lazy or not its the better way to grow
That’s subjective. I do both. I have rooms built for different styles one room is for soil, one room is for hydro, and my third room is for experimenting. I prefer my soil room over my hydro. Speed wise it’s nice but I’d much rather do soil. I’m thinking I’ll be switching my hydro room over to another soil room.

soil is for outside if you ask me tried soil once got too many bugs for my liking but if you dont have the option to grow outside i guess organic indoor grows could be ok

Nah I can grow outside. Actually been building myself a 30x40 greenhouse. Sadly it won’t be done until next spring now. I don’t run into bugs but I vacuum and clean in my rooms daily. An spray with worm casting tea which can keep bugs away as well.
