Dying...Help with rockwool cubes

Hey all,

So I started out a few seedlings in rockwool cubes, and had some trouble. They have been in there for about 3 weeks, and all plants are slowly dying. Many leaves have turned yellow and are wilting.

I'm not sure if its because of watering or what. I have been misting the plants, however, I now realize that my water was not ph adjusted (it was around 8) and I did not let the water sit out (thus perhaps too much chlorine?)

Also, I haven't really figured out how to water the cubes. What I have done is dip bottom 1/3 of cube in water, then pour water from a cup on top of rockwool cube, and finishing with a misting.

Luckily, the seeds are bag, so I've got some play room. Please someone help! I need advice!!!!!

are they still in the starter cubes because it is time to move those little guys to big cubes and start nutes in what ever hydro system you have planned on using. as soon as I see my seeds peak out the top of cube they go into big cubes so the tap root can do it job. I get bigger stronger plants and I can prove it!

Ya, the rockwool was soaked for 24hrs prior in 5.5 ph. But then watering with the high ph is what caused the plants to die? Also, can I just put water in a bucket and let it sit out for a day or two to let chlorine dissipate?

And please, someone tell me...aside from ph and chlorine problems, am I watering okay???? Too much, to little...I wait until the cubes are dry, but I'm not sure if I'm overwatering them...

ph too high, too much water, no need to mist. Rockwools ph is real high out of the package, has to be soaked in a 5.5 for a bit to lower before adding seeds.

Hey guys, I'm sorry, but I just can't wrap my head around how to water these rockwool cubes. I don't know if I'm overwatering or underwatering.

Can someone please give me a detailed description of how best to water these cubes?? Thank you all, everyone has been a tremendous help.
