Dying mother plant.

hey guys! I work for a Liscenced farm in northern California. I won't say I'm an expert but my experience is not limited. I was asked by my boss to bring back a mother plant which is in horrible condition. Its pretty much all dead except for 4 tiny branches at the very top which are almost dead as well. The whole stalk seems dead and dried out except for the 4 little tops i saved. I've tried just about everything I could research. This thing has been hit with bug infestations, Over watering and just horrible neglect from previous workers. My boss is dead set on trying to bring it back to live. I took 2 clones in hopes they'll root. Any suggestions? At this point I will try anything!VideoCapture_20200516-030253.jpg

I have very little experience, I’m only on my second grow.
Seems kinda like a jackass boss though. Just from a quick read my thoughts were take clones and just restart it.
Pics would help massively though!

There’s two kinds of people in legal cannabis. Bosses or the people with the money and then there’s the people that know how to grow. There’s never one person with both. Do what you can. You’re no miracle worker.

I took a couple just to see if they'll root. I'm afraid to take them all and none of them root. He's actually a good dude, like a big brother to me. Here's a picture!

I totally get your point. Like I said before he is actually a good friend of mine. I figured root issues would be a definite problem. I've washed with hydroguard, flushed, re inoculated the soil and not much change. I've tried different variations of feeds and the one that seemed to bring a bit of life was a simple 5-1 humis-kelp and b1. Ive been foliar feeding lately and only doing plain water in root drench. All my ph,etc, and ppm levels are carefully monitored. I feel at this point hoping those clones root is my only option. Unless some has had a similar experience with a successful outcome. Thanks for your reply!
