Early chop- bucket flush?

Friend of mine cleared out camp a week early before proper flush on a double strength nute diet. I've read somewhere about a flushing technique with the stem can be inserted directly into water for a quick flush. Can someone please give me any info or point me in the right direction- Ive been trolling the forums for an hour and found nothing.
