I just had an odd experience with a breeding project. I had a dozen females that I had begun flowering sepporately from my other plants in my garden. a week later I started flowering a half dozen plants in another tent. after two weeks i found a male in the second tent that I wanted to use to pollinate the first tent that was a week farther into flower. This male was two weeks old and the females that surounded it were three weeks old. I have found that in the past most males begin to drop pollen after 3 weeks and can take up to 4 weeks to really drop the majority of their nut sacks. This male went into overdrive and imediately shot up and doubled in hight within 2 days and was popping pollen out in 3 days. it was fully bloomed and pollen dropping withing 5 days. beofre it reached 3 weeks it was fullly dropping its nuts and it was on full pollination before it was even 3 weeks old. I ran this by a fellow gardenign friend that told me that these plants can comunicate and that the older fmelaes may have told the male to hurry up since they were realdy for pollen and the male was not yet ready to produce it. I think this makes sence, but Im wondering if anyone else has had experieince with this or knows anythibg about it. thanks RIU!
