Early harvest :(

Hey guys unfortunately I have to harvest one of my girls early. Money is tight and I'm out of meds. Was thinking about chopping this critical kush bc it's an 8 week strain (supposedly). I'm at day one of week 7. My only concern is the entire crop will taste like hay. Im not worried about lower thc or even being more head high. Will harvesting now make my crop taste like hay with a proper dry and cure!

I have four other girls that I'm going to allow to finish, weight is not a concern. My only concern is the smoke I do have tasting like hay. I'm completely out of smoke and can't afford to be buying any at the moment.

I would wait, My reason would be b/c even if you harvest you still have to wait through all the drying and curing so you would still be screwed for a decent smoke for atleast another couple weeks while waiting to dry and cure. Tough it out. Smoke Resin.

if you don't try to dry it too quick, it will be just fine especially if you are out of meds. a week early should still give you some good medicine to get you through until the rest of the girls are done properly.

My thing is its a big plant I'm guessing about 2 maybe 3 oz. If I cut it in about 2-3 days then hang for 7 I could then smoke as I need while the rest cures, and the other plants finish!

I can manage buying another bag to last me a good week. But waiting 2 more weeks to finish flower than 7 day dry I can't make it that long. I think if I take just one now enough to get my by, it will buy enough time to finish my other four girls fully.

if she is a big girl, harvest some of the top colas and hang them to dry and let the rest of her finish. you could then stagger a harvest or two off of her so you're smoking off of her for the next week to ten days while the rest of the the girls finish. i've done it before and it got me through just fine! it's definitely better than buying a bag at this stage bongsmilie

I keep plenty on hand but can go a couple of months without. I have before just to let them cure for a while longer.

Why not take just one stalk and let the plant grow out. Shoot.. im pulling low nugs off one of my blueberries and after decarb, they taste passable but man.. the effects are fantastic at only day 40 (60 day plant)!! I have a couple critical kushes as well but im holding out for a full tasting cure for those. Are your CK's packing it on yet??

I like that idea I only smoke about 8-9 grams a week I could harvest a few of the top ones let it go for another week harvest a few more then take the rest the week after

There not packing as much as the gorilla glue or northern lights it's one of my smallest plants in bud size but it's the only one that the hairs have started to turn and mostly cloudy trics. I'm on the first day of week 7 out of 8 for the CK

you need to wait until it grows more weeds, and on the side, you need to give your weed sufficient light such as red spectrum can promote buddings

Yeah.. sounds like i have similar phenos as both of mine are a little over 3 feet with a bit of training. One plant is loading up while the other is noticeably thinner on top. Im.thinking it might have to do with some defoliation i did right after the switchover. Either way.. looking forward.

Northern Lights.. nice smoke. Im jealous about that GG though. Sounds like a nice strain.. is it an auto?

I have a 1000w hps for a 5x5 tent I'm pretty sure that's the max amount of light I can put in there lol
