i've got a few potted plants that are now getting more shade than I would like (due to the sun shift). I can move them around and wonder which sun is more beneficial, sunrise to mid day sun or mid day to sunset sun.

thanks

ehhh, that may hold some validity but from local to local there is one factor that you must account for,//// this may sound stupid BUT im a noob still to growing but this makes sence, especially if you see it first hand.
If you live where it is foggy consistantly in the morn during the fall(like it is here) it stays almost dark till 9;45 but they fog eventually burns off so where im at it would be better to stay with the eve, but if its clear consistantly mabey not?

I never said I am just now planting. These have been outside since June, I have some in full sun (in 100 gal pots and some in the ground), some in a greenhouse, and some in pots that I move around for better exposure.
Some are getting 8 hrs of full sun, some are only getting a few hrs.

I'm in NorCal. It does hit 100 but not for days on end. typically i'm in the mid 80's - 90's.
Heat is not an issue for me. My full sun plants are healthy monsters. Early in the season, they are subjected to 13 hrs and it doesn't phase them.
Fog is not an issue for me either.
