Earthworm castings in compost tea, or just on the soil?

I was wondering if this was a good idea, and also how much to add per gallon of tea. I ask this because my Nitrogen level is low. Would I be better "topping off" the pots with earthworm castings, or using a tea?

I like to use them in my tea. I'm not real precise in my measurements... IDK, 1/4 to 1/2 c. per gallon is what I use I suppose.
I usually use that, along with some kelp extract stuff, some molasses, and a little bit of bokashi (sp?).

NP. I just have this little plastic scoop that I use to add them, and now that I think of it again - I think my guess of 1/4c to 1/2c might be a little high... it's probably 1/4c at most per gallon.

best thing to do in your situation is top dress with some high N bat guano. If you want to make a tea though, try recipe #3 from lc's soilless mix. thats a good one

True, top dressing with high N bat guano is a good idea for the N problem... but, using tea has the extra benefit of adding a big micro-organism population.

thats a good point, as long as its done properly as least; pretty tough process to fuck up though...
