At what point is it best to harvest Joint Doc Easy Ryder? Should I go by the trichs?
@Sonar: I have 3 Easy Ryders growing right now. Put them straight into soil on 9/10. They're looking great right now. What kind of yield did you get from your past grow? And how was the potency? I've read that they don't yield much and the high is less than expected.Got any pics? I just grew this strain outside and they went about 9-10 weeks. The one probably could have went a little longer.

I've been following your thread with great interest and curiosity! I gave one of my Easy Ryders to a friend of mine to finish growing. He's now working on putting a little grow space together in his apartment. Of the 2 I have remaining, both are doing incredibly well. Different pheno's. One is 13" tall from the soil line and is flowering like crazy! The other is turning into a monster...seriously! I'll post some pics when I can figure out what's wrong with my camera/computer connection. The "Monster" is still growing and is now throwing out pistils at an amazing rate. I was looking back at some of my old grow journals and realized that I had grown Easy Ryder about 1 & 1/2 years ago. Dry weight, on what turned out to be a very tiny plant was 16grams. But....the potency was definitely a 5 out of 5. I'll keep following your grow and I hope you end up with a ton of great smoke!!! Thanks for your help!@spontcumb
I have 5 Easy Ryders growing that I planted around 8/20-8/25, so I'm around the 8 week mark right now. Everyone says they go to around 10-11 weeks, and as frustrating as the waiting has been I'd say that's about right. Might harvest anywhere from 9-11 weeks, but anything shorter than that they won't be completely ready and the yield won't be maximized. Not sure what you're expecting from your plants, but mine are very short (between 10-13" from soil), and I'm estimating a yield of at least 14g per plant dry, possibly as much as 21g by harvest. I don't have enough growing experience though to give very good estimates, just many years of consumer experience . I had someone post in my grow journal that they always get 50 grams or more from their Easy Ryders which I find very dubious, but I can definitely see 28-35 grams under ideal conditions by experienced growers, and there are always the exceptions. Which phenotype you have will affect the yield as well. I'd say an Oz from a 12" auto is nothing to complain about....
