Ebb and flow by hand

I have some plants in soil and I have a couple which are currently in rockwool cubes. I would like to know if it's possible to put them in Hydroton and water them by hand each day. If so, how much would I have to water them and how often?

I think you would need to do this 3-4 times per day. You really want to put in the work for that? If so, you would want to have two nested buckets, one having drainage holes. You'll place that into the other bucket without holes and soak for 10-15 minutes. Again, 3-4x per day. I know it will work because that's pretty much what my automatic ebb & flow system does. Be sure you're using at least 2 gallon pots, larger if you plan to really let your plant grow.

Man, you would have to sleep sometimes, then they'd wilt ! Get ya some 5 gallon buckets and read up on HYDRO.

I've read up but I just thought somebody else might have tried it. I'm already checking on my soil plants every 6.2 minutes so adding some extra work wouldn't be too taxing. I'll be trying out Hydro if my current grow goes well.
