ebb and grow plants dieing - help please -

I just switch the plants over to flower about 8 days ago, some time last week ( a few days ago) one of the plants looked over watered.

I thought it might be because of high ppm( around 1200 / 1300 - my ro system broke and ordered a new one)..

so I was 2 days late on changing the water.

The plant went from looking health and good to looking sick in no time at all ( over night basically)The plant looks over water or under water - it looks weepy ( you can see in the pictures).

The strange thing is that the other plants around this plant look fine. It is just this one. However I want to stop whatever happened, because it is looks like it is about to start on another plant.

Didn't take pics of the roots, if you want to see the roots let me know

Here is some basic information.
1) Type and wattage of lights. ( 2 x1000 ( hortilix mh and one hid)
2) Distance from tops? ( around 2 feet with air cooled hoods)
3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, )
4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? ( co2 is added to the room
5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? ( yes)
6) schedule? ( 12 on / 12 off)
7) Specific brand and type of soil, (hydroton )8) Size of container. ( ebb and grow 2 or 2.5 gallon containters)
9) Did you use peat pucks ( rapid rooter)
10) Source of water? ( RO water, ph around 7.2)..
11) Method of checking water ph. (tri meter and also test strips)
12) Method of adjusting water ph. (gh ph up and ph down)
13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages ( gh schudle @ 3/4 strength + cal-mag + magnum + hygrozyme ) and current feeding schedule.
13a.) last week I added great white and bud blood ( this week I didn't)
14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? ( the ebb and grow is watering ever 4 hours when the lights are on - one time when the lights are off)
15) Any additives or tea's? ( bud blood last week.. cal mag and mag.)
16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? ( they slowly rise)
17) What is your ingoing water's ph? ..7.. ( but I adjust it down)
17 how long do you keep the water ( i keep the water for 7 days than flush it)
18 Do you foliar feed? ( one in a while but not often)
19) Indoors or outdoors? ( indoor)
20) What size of closet, room or hut? ( 14x11)
21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off? ( on 85 degree @ 20% rh - lights off around 75 degrees with 25% rh)
22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? ( spider mites, but not for a few weeks)
23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate )
24) From seeds or clones? ( clones)

Ok correct me if I'm wrong, kinda hard to read what you posted... but you said your ph is at 7? For hydro you need that much lower, i keep my ph between 5.7-5.9 at all times. 5.8 being the sweet spot, you also stated your using co2? But you have exhaust going on, where is your exhaust located and how often is it turned on? Once ever two hours? 3? On 24/7? For temps with c02 85 is the sweet spot but if your sucking out all the co2 then that could bring on a whole set of problems.

Also when you water how long are your pumps on for?

Yea.. I am not sure why it formated the posted like that.. ( i just figured out why it did that)

my ph is between 6 and 6.3..As soon as it rises about 6.3.. I add ph down. and bring it down to 5.9 / 6.0..

I full exhaust the room basically before the lights come on.. and then after the lights go off..

The rest of the day, the only new air is from the a/c that might leak some fresh air in the room.. The room is big ( tall enought) that o2 / co2 isn't really a problem, i don't think.. I thought it might be some type of root rot, but the roots really don't smell bad, they are darker than normal.. but they are not really DARK.. but yet they are not per white ( like the clones I generally have).. the roots might be a light tan color...

What medium are you using? It looks like your plant is way down in the bucket. They should normally be placed at least a few inches higher if you're using rockwool. Those plants look super over watered. Check the plant by pulling up the bucket. Maybe the roots have clogged the hose and is not allowing it to drain. Thats crazy how that happened overnight. The PPM wouldnt matter, as 1300 isnt that extremely high. Being two days late on a res change isnt that big of a deal either. What about your res temps, are those high? Definitely keep that PH in check.

Also, if you have root rot you will know. The roots will stink and they will have slime on them. If you do have it then be careful cause it will spread.

Yea.. I have some of that lucky bamboo.. and it got root rot.. and OMG.. it smelled like ass and death mixed.. it was bad.. so I wasn't sure if the root rot was just starting and that is why there was no smell or it was something like root rot..

The ebb and grow main thread, there are people that don't change there water for months so I didn't think a couple of extra days would hurt.

I know my water temp is too high ( low 80 - never so far about 83 ) but then again it is 100+ degree outside.. I'm going to get a water cooler in the next week or so.. but it should kill a plant that fast..

no using rockwool.. I don't have much luck with rockwool in hydro.. so I just use rapid rooter.. or nothing ( aero clone --> hydroton)..

I will check a couple more of the roots..

other suggestions...

thanks so far for everyone helps..

Get that water temp down. Im suprised that you dont have algae or slime because your temps are super high. I would definitely look in to that. It might be your problem. You want to be in the 65-68 degree range.

dumb question..

slime just looks like snot.. basically correct..

I looked at two of the plants and didn't see any snot or anything else like that..

however the roots are white either.. they are an off color of light brown, but there is no smell to them. I have changed the res. with new RO water. .

from what someone told me it is elephants foot

I've heard of that but am pretty sure you usually only get that in a drip system and the drip is usually setup right on the base of the stem. If you're growing ebb and flow that shouldnt be an issue. But, I guess it could be if you have your plants really low in the buckets? Maybe the stems are getting saturated when it floods? I have my rock wool cubes sticking a inch or so above the top of my buckets for comparison versus yours.

Yea.. on the grow that is dieing.. I have some rapid rooters.. and some just areo to hydroton..

on the next grow.. I am going to go straight from ez-cloner ( areo) to hydroton.. yea some of the plants maybe be too high or too low, but I can't see all of them dieing.. so far around 50% of all the plants of died.. it started with 1 plant almost over night.. then like 2 days later.. 4 more plants.. and now one more plant looks like it is going to die,

Man bro sorry I couldnt help out more. I havent really faced what you are first hand. Now that you have your water temp in check, no slime, and your ph/ppm are spot on I am all out of suggestions.

Have you checked the other plants roots to see if there is slime on them? I know you said your roots were slightly brown so that might be your issue, did you ever check the other buckets to see if they were the same? I know some nutes do stain the roots a bit (gh micro).
