I want to switch over to hydro and have two rubbermaid tubs that would work well in a Ebb and flow.
The problem I am having is how to install the fill and drain tubes from one rubbermaid to the other. There is about a 1" gap between the two and I am unsure of how or what to use to bridge this gap.
It seems as though most use a 1/2" fill, then 3/4" drainage back into resevoir, but how do you connect the two rubbermaids so there are no leaks......remember I have about an 1" gap between them.
I just can't seem to grasp how the whole setup would be. I have no plumbing skills, so don't really know what to use to connect the two rubber maids and in such a way to allow for checking ppm, water level, ph, etc. etc.
I have looked at DIY rubbermaid builds, but they really don't go into detail on how they attach them without any leaks and how to get access to resevoir water.
Any ideas for a newb wanna be????
