Edge of leaves drying up and cracking...underwatering?

Hi,

My plants have been vegging for almost 4 weeks now and they've been drinking a lot more each day...Yesterday my reservoir went empty and before I got a chance to refill it i noticed my plants start to droop and some of the leaves dried up. I just finished watering them and noticed that a few leaves started to crack from the edges with a light coloration. I've attached a pic for reference. Do you guys think the leaves are dying off from dehydration or could it be a nutrient/ph thing as well? I don't have a PH meter calibrated yet...

It looks more like a ph problem or a cal-mag problem.

Get a ph meter from ebay and add cal-mag. Leaf stem turning red/purple is usually genetics or magnesium def.
Magnesium def is very common when ph is off balance as the ph needs to be between 6 - 7 for the plant to be able to absorb mag.

Hope this helps.

see some light nute burn showing on tips, not leaf in pic but leaf next to it, tips are burn with light nute burn, are some of leaves really dark green? if you have some leaves that are way way to green looking you might have nitrogen toxicity, burn em up to a crisp quick too

Thanks for the reply. I will get the PH meter calibrated and go from there.

Yes some of the leaves are very dark green and the very edge of the leaves are burning. Does this mean im using too much notes? thanks!

it is possible,,if you can plainly see some of the leaves are really so much darker green than other leaves and looking kind of "leathery" and got the burning to them, it is likely it could be nitrogen toxicity..it is pretty easy to spot because those affected leaves are very hard NOT to notice really
