Electrical Questions

Okay, so i recently decided to pack away my 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m set up, and go for a 6M X 3M X 2M set up, with 12 x 600W lights, for 24-30 plants.

My problem is (some of you may have guessed) 12 x 600W's is 30amps, and i am told that ring mains can be anything from 15-30amps.

Obviously this is a problem, because my lights come to 30amps and thats before 10 oscillating fans, 7 clip oscillating fans, and a 12" air force 2 3300m3 p/h extraction fan, and whatever else i'm not thinking of right now.

Is changing the ring main fuse a big job? (I will get a friend electrician to do this) and what is best for me to set it to? (I may add some clone lighting in the future)

Also wouild 2 x of these at £250 for the two be plausible?

Or are there cheaper, just as reliable options?

One last question, 10 16" oscillating fans, and 6 7" oscillating fans, would it be okay just to run these off some surge protected 13amp extension leads, which will be plugged into a 10M 2 plug reel extension then into the wall?

It's more like 60amps
you need a Saftey factor in there also.
if your gonna run (12) 600w lights your gonna need to wire your grow room off an auxiliary breaker box that come off your main breaker box.
and yes you can kill yourself if you don't know what your doing, get your friend over that knows electrical.

I didn't understand half of what you just said haha, i know shit about electric, except it hurts, and tickles in small enough amounts - hence why i'd get my friend to do this, but is there any way you can say this in simple terms? haha

And if it would make a difference i can go down to 10 lights

It would be dedicated power just to your grow room. Everything calculated to handle the power you needed. 3-4 lights on one breaker 3-4 lights on another breaker ect.. Imagine another electrical system but lotts smaller than the one for your house. Probly cost about $200.00 to do it. Depends on how much wire you need the cost can go up.
