Hi,
I have 9 dutch cheese up in my attic been going now for 4 weeks under 2 600w hps. I was going to put them on 12/12 tonight and add another 600w hps light. Unfortunatley ever since i added the extra 600w light the fuse keeps tripping off (upstairs lights and attic). It will stay on for around 30min then flicks off, when i flick the switch it always comes back on, stays on for a while then goes off etc.
The attic orginally has a single socket up there which was a spur run off im guessing from a upstairs socket or light. I changed the single socket to a 3 gang socket so i would have to use as many extention leads and adapters etc. I have been using a 1kw contactor times with a extention coming off it to supply the light (i know 1kw is not enough for even 2 600w and i am buying a new 1 tomorrow although it has been working fine with just 2. Could the timer contactor be the reason the third light is tripping the fuse?
I the lights straight into a 4gang extention without the contactor in same thing happened.
Up there at the moment i only have 1 large office fan and the 2 lights, surely the 3rd light isnt overloading the system.
is it more likely there is a fault with the 3rd light itself?
Replys much appreciated as im sure that 3rd light would bang the yield right up.
Also have a query about my hesi coco nutrient schedult i got off their site but thats for another post
