Enlarged Liver Dr. Suggest Stopping MMJ

I use MMJ to manage the pain from a disability I got while in the Army. I have been using since 1992 without issue. In recent months I started using e-cig pretty regularly, on some days almost exclusively. According to my provider they use 70% plant matter and 30% "natural" terpenes.

About a week ago I noticed pain in the liver area. Saw my Dr. today and she said my liver is enlarged and bilirubin is elevated. I do not drink or smoke anything besides MMJ.

Can this amazing community give me any information about how MMJ or the way I am ingesting it can be a cause. My Dr. was not well versed on MMJ or vape pens but she did say that the FDA has some warnings when it comes to e-cigs.

Thanks for the help

Are you smoking a different bag of weed? Most likely the e cig.
Weed strain is pretty consistent, I just smoke less and use the e-cig more. 90/10 e-cig vs smoking now.

Allegedly the cannabis e-cig juice is allegedly naturally grown and organic.

Just to be clear, I am not using the e-cig for nicotine based juices, I just use the cannabis liquid in my e-cig.

MJ, im in the medical field and I just have to say there are so many possible factors that could be involved. imho, the mmj you vape is probably safer than the water that you drink. speaking of that, how much water do you drink? hows your diet (enough green leafy vegetables?)? do you exercise? do you see where im going with this? in my line of work, ive noticed that most med professionals that have a limited knowledge of mmj tend to point it out as the culprit, only to find out later that the patient hasnt drinken a glass of water in 6 weeks and thinks sweet tea has enough water in it. with that being said, if you don't grow your own or know who does, theres no telling what your ingesting (pesticides, etc.). as far as the FDA goes, remember the first flaw in that term is federal. theyre still trying to convince people mmj use kills brain cells, lol.

30% terpenes sounds very high compared to natural abundance. At that level, they might cause problems. Mycotoxins could also be a problem as the extraction procedure likely won't get rid of them.
