Enough Light?

Hey all, this is my first grow so im new to what proper light to use and when to use them. My plant is currently 6 days from seed and seems to be doing okay, leaves are a little bent but I believe that is from over watering.

My lighting:

2 - 13w 900 lumen CFLs
2 - 23w 1600 lumen 5000k CFLs.

Sunday will be one week since seed. Any and all suggestions are much appreciated!

as long as you don't burn/bleach them, the more light on your plants the better

im just doing the one plant as a beginner experiment, is bleach just another term for burning or? and will i need to adjust this lighting setup at all throughout the vegetative or flowering period?

It depends on what expectations you have my friend, i mean that wattage you are using will certainly grow/maintain ganja through a veg period (although they will not flourish) they will be maintained and will/can remain healthy. However when you switch to 12/12 to flower them out these low wattage lights are only gonna produce minimal buds, they will produce smokeable buds but they will be sparse.
As long as this is your expectation then yes you will be fine and you will have a couple of joints at the end.
More importantly you will have gained Valuable knowledge and Experience growing that you can put to use combined with better Lighting.

I have no liking for CFL's if you want to go cheep you're better off with T5's....just my opinion, don't shoot me.

To be honest I was just trying to grow some decent smokeable bud. If i was to lose the 13w lights when i hit the 12/12 stage and add another couple 23w 5000k, would this increase the overall yield?

The more light the better. Also be sure to use some kind of reflective surface, it will help maximize the light you do have. Whether that is mylar or even just white paint.

Here is a pic of my vegging two plants under CFL.. the last week of veg I added a 150 watt HPS for flowering purposes (down to one plant now anyway )

From what I have seen, they do take off under CFL (though I have not vegged under MH yet so I personnaly can not say the difference... either way I will be vegging with CFL's for sure... specially the 18/6 schedule)

I can only speak from my experience, but I prefer to veg under my cfls vs my mh. I use 6 23w cfls and 1 terarium uvb cfl. I wouldnt recommend flowering under cfls if you want any kind of quantity. I flower under hps because it gives me the best quality, and quantity for my money. I'm not sure what kind of space you have to work in, but a small cfl veg area, and a larger hps flower area seems to work quite well for me.

i Would go for a 85 watt grow bulb (you will need 1 of each spectrum blue and red), they are like £15, with that and the bulbs you have now you should do fine.
