So yesterday I traded for a 10k.btu portable a/c. However, its not going to work out. It draws too much power and not having a window, is making exhausting all the heat a pain in my balls.
So I am looking the route of an evaporative air cooler(swap cooler). But wanted to get some input from you guys first.
All i'm really trying to cool is my 4x4 flower tent. It has a 315cmh. a 400w cob and a mars panel led. I have air going into the tent with a 4" inline fan. But again, because there is no windows in the room, my fresh air is coming from an adjoining room. Which is fine during the day as the house a/c runs during the day. Which is pulling in 65d air from that room. But at night when the a/c isn't needed, the tent heats up to over 90 on some nights. I have a 6" canfan pulling air outta the tent and into a separate adjoining room. Being that my intake and outtake are both really coming/going from inside, I know this isn't ideal. Id like to pull in fresh air from outside and do the same for the exhaust, but its not doable as its an interior room in a basement.
First question is if I place my canfan in the tent its self, would it work better apposed to having a 6ft run of duct first?
Also, back to the evaporative cooler. Would it work ok inside the tent? I would probably only have room for 3 plants not 4 but it might be worth it.
I live in Colorado which is very dry. My room stays about 30% humidity while the tent is not much more...
Any input would be cool.
Thanks
