Excessive Stretching in Flower

I am growing Dinafem OG Kush and Nirvana Master Kush. Growing in Canna Coco and using Canna nutes. I am in 4th week of flower and the Og has very small tiny flowers and the Master is stretching excessivly. I cant figure out what is wrong. This has never happened before. I've been growing for awhile but have never seen anything like this. The only thing i have done different this time is that I lollipoped all of my grow on the 16th day of flower. I prunned about 50% of the plant. Did this cause stress??????? Any help would be appreciated. The pics are shitty cause I took them right now while the lights are on, but I will post some more pics tomorrow morning when lights turn off. First pic is OG 2nd is Master Kush. If it is stress is there a way to reverse this? I was thinking of just cutting off the top that stretched but I dont wanna cause more stress.

What are the temps like? It kinda looks like heat was a bit of an issue. First time growing the strain? Plants do stretch in flower for the first couple of weeks. But I see what you mean on your second post, looks like funny to me.. Curious about wat wattage you are using and running temps!

your good .. don't worry, it will just be a nice fat cola, or if it's bugging you then just do a lil tie down and bend the tops over and tie them to there pots , i wouldn't do any kind of cutting or topping that WILL stress the hell out of them at this stage

No its not my first time growing these strains. But the only thing I did different was lollipop the plants i trimmed. 50% of it off. And 1 other thing. About a week ago the AC system was down for 3 days so the temps got up to about 94ºF. I know heat can be stressful but I never thought it it would cause this to happen.I have 40 plants under 4000w.

Probably the heat/pruning during the bolt. They will be fine. The pruning threw every thing into what was left.

pretty much waht Coho said, you took 50% of the under growth off which also stretches during pre flower stretch. now all that energy that would normally go to that undergrowth has gone to the top of the plant. dont worry man as long as they stay within you height limitations you should be fine.

Thanks Coho and RetiredMatthebrute. I hope everything comes out ok. Do you guys think because of the stress/stunned growth, my usual harvest time will be extended a bit? Cause the Master usually is ready in 55days and the OG in 65days!

Some Kush Pheno's do stretch-- our OG Kush and Bubba 76 always do-- it's how they enlongate to get a bigger main..

however- excess stretch can be avoided if they are fed right ahead of time (transition feeding) and the lights are close enough.... and the temps not too high...

we ended up doing the unthinkable-- we LST'd them.... not really supposed to- however- we are in the midst of a "seed grow" instead of clones- and it's the only way to keep an even canopy under the lights---

if you don't mind the risk- you could tie the tops down a bit-- other than supercropping- which is really stressful, or using Bushmaster (which is rumored to not be a great option) it may be your only option at this point.

By lollipop do you mean branches? Not a good thing to do at that time. If you are removing leaves, never take 50% of the plants leaves at one time. 20 to 25% is OK (if you believe in doing it). The good news is your plants have time to right themselves, assuming it is a 12 wk plant, so relax and learn.

I had never lollipoped before and had been reading around on it, but I guess I didnt read enough. I trimmed 50% of the plant branches, leaves, buds and all. Now I know i should've started doing it alittle at a time during veg, and then just a bit at the beginning of flower. But like you said Jimdamick, its a learning process!

In my experience is that the temperature difference between night and day is a key element in stretch.
The bigger the difference, the taller the stretch.
