Yes, you went a bit too far.........it will just slow things down for a while, as the plant recovers from the stressful event and can grow some more sun catching leaves.
I'm not knocking you but seriously why? There was no need to defoliate that plant, and since she had some deficiency before hand it's just going to start on the few leaves left if you hadn't sorted it out.

There are definitely times I remove leaves but whatever you gain by doing this in veg will be lost by extending the time until it mature enough to flip
