i do a modified variant of extreme defoliating during a grow at certain times.
Screen grab from a vid cuz i dont have a better image.
i strip only the top fans off main stem down a few branches, then LST and wait. I only do this "extreme defol" one time during the grow cycle. I don't think i'd do what you did, seems exceedingly unnecessary to achieve the goal you think that will produce. You can get the results you want without completely stripping the plant like a columbian cocoa plant.

This is a method Ive seen many growers using...Ive never defoiled that heavily. I defoiliate thru the entire life cycle. Only taking out a handful at a time. This method does not cause the plant to shock and continues to grow due to low stress defoiliation. The biggest defoil Ive done is lollipopping and mainlinig my plants(great results from lollipopping and mainlining) I would like to follow this plants life to see the results of a defoil as harsh as this one. Please keep us updated I am very interested lookin good

Either those growing points will kick into super overdrive and grow literally overnight, or it will stall out and whither and die. All depends upon how much root mass you have imo.

I've harvested plants that stayed alive with less leaf, but I don't really see the point in this.

Helios I schwazzee (extreme defoliation) on days 1 and 21 of flower. It seems that you did your first defoliation, the leaves will grow back within 2 weeks.
It looks pretty barren right now but it'll pick up quick, you've got lots of new leaves showing.

I've gone this hard and the plants ended up having the biggest colas overall that I've ever grown.

Even got new leaf growth at the dirt line bro...nice...did you notice the stems harden, thicken or produce a bark at all once exposed to so much direct light ? Did you defoiliate after flowering stretch ? If not how much did it hrow without leaves ?

Laugh it up, but it's the reason I defend defoliating in every thread. I got into the zone and picked until I thought I had ruined my plants. Then they came back with a fury,

Nice bro..it makes sense in my head ...once all the leaves are gone energy and nutes are redirected so a huge amount of unused energy is coursing thru the plant after defoil looking for any weak spot or outlet...I imagine that The last defoil at day 21-ish is very beneficial. I will be doing this on my next run for sure....

I personally think heavy pruning on the 1st day of flip is way more beneficial than defoliating. the third week is when defoliation is most beneficial.
