if the temps are 40 celcius, you may want to consider a location where it gets less direct sunlight.

also, i would imagine winds are stronger on a roof than on the ground, which will also dry it out quicker.

in 40 degree temps, you need partial shade and less wind.

for all you fahrenheitphiliacs, 40 celcius = 104 fahrenheit ((celcius * 1.8 ) +32)=fahrenheit

never had a problem with that much heat, i live in a very hot climate, humid that would make you sweat right after you get out off the shower... but would suggest to give it a little shade since it does not need that much sun and heat and make sure the pot is not directly on the ground you might want to consider also putting it on top of a table.

yer its on the roof and the winds are high in the mornings but start to ease before it gets hot and then its in all day sun light .it isnt usually this hot although it is still in the 30's on an average day.

i live in western australia if that helps

i live a little bit close to you. i think thats fine the only thins is you might need to water it as much as needed.and do the plant a favor and add a shading net if you can. or just place it in the coolest place on top of the roof if you dont have a place to grow her, might if i add that your plant will be much taller when it flowers so i am guessing here if that plant of urs grew at least 6-8ft tall wont your neighbors or passer bi's will see the plant?

nah well i topped the plant yesterday so it will grow more a bush. and the pot plants is in the gutter so that isnt very visible and the front of my house ,the roof is higher than the back ad there is a random wall on the roof about 1.5 metres high so its almost i the perfect position.and where can you a shading net??
